Little Ocmulgee

We stopped at Little Ocmulgee State Park for a break on the way back.  We played at the playground and took a walk out on their pier.  It was chilly and windy.

First Thomas

Cousin Owen got Arthur his first Thomas the train set.  Arthur was very excited and insisted we open the box right away.  Here he is playing with it.

Trike

GramE and Grandpa got Arthur a tricycle for Christmas.  Here he is trying it out before even opening the other presents.  His feet kind of touch the pedals.

Our Early Christmas

Our Christmas Eve

Since we are traveling we did Christmas at home on Saturday.  So this was Friday night, as Andrew wrestled to assemble Arthur's new tricycle.  He didn't say any bad words and he only had one piece left over.

More Christmas Crafts

This garland came with stickers to add to the ornaments.  It wasn't always easy to get the sticky side down, but Arthur worked on this project for quite a while.  Mom put on a few of the pink dots.  The rest he did.

Tree chain

Arthur and mommy made this paper chain one night when we were feeling festive.  Arthur liked helping push the stapler down.

This was from when we trimmed our tree a while back.  No, GramE, we didn't get him knocking the tree over on video.  But this was kind of close.

We spent some time hanging out at their visitor center.

Since the max elevation of the whole Okefenokee is something like 200 feet above sea level, it wasn't very high upland. But here we are on the trail.

We didn't make it too far along their boardwalk because Arthur decided he was going to remove all of the leaves from it.

On the boat, Arthur spent a lot of times picking up the leaves and throwing them over the side.

Anniversary cupcake

We got cupcakes for our anniversary earlier this month.  Here is Arthur enjoying his.

Alligators

Here are a few more pictures from our boat tour, including some alligators.  Arthur did look around, but I don't think he really ever noticed the alligators.

Visiting Pogo

This weekend we went down to the Okefenokee Swamp.  It was a little crazy, because it is a busy month, but it was also great weather and we had the park almost to ourselves.

We took a boat tour, and here are some pictures getting ready, and from the beginning of our ride.

Parade

We went to the Children's Hospital parade in midtown last weekend. It was chilly, but Arthur did well.  The best part was when the dogs and owners went past.  That was even better than the big balloons or the llamas.

Trimming the Tree

Here is our tree trimming night at home.  Arthur got into putting ornaments into the tree for a little while.  

So far, he has only knocked the tree over once.

Wisconsin November Day

This was the morning we left.  We had a great time visiting and finally getting to see some snow with the little man.

Snow

It snowed while we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa.  Arthur didn't like keeping his gloves or hat on, but he really liked shoveling.

Grandpa's birthday

They gave grandpa dessert at the restaurant, so we got to sing with candles twice.

This is a festival of lights that they  set up in the parking lot at Turner Field.  It was very cold the night we went.
