Feeding more birds

A trip to the zoo is not complete without stopping to feed the birds.  It was warm this day and the birds were actually eating.  Arthur loved it.

Lamb cake

We made a lamb cake for Easter, using Great Grandma Bernice's recipe and lamb pans.  Here are a few shots of our baking in progress.  Arthur approves of lamb cake, though the frosting is really the best part.

Bowling

A few weeks ago we went bowling with some friends.  The pictures are a bit too dark, but Arthur loved carrying the 6 pound ball and then pushing it down the ramp.  

Zoo carousel

We made it to the zoo on Easter.  Arthur really wanted to ride the carousel. We ended up doing it twice with him. He is getting very good at riding. He holds on well all by himself.

Coloring Eggs

I didn't expect Arthur to care much about the Easter eggs, but he really got into coloring them.  Of course, it was sitting there throwing stuff in water, so maybe it wasn't that surprising that he would like it.  Here are a couple pictures.

We spent a day on the gulf coast, in Cedar Key, FL.  We kayaked over to an island and here are some pictures on the beach there.

Spring training cont.

We also walked around the Braves complex down at Disney. We got to see the end of a minor league game. Finally, we got a signature from the Braves starting pitcher.

We went to the Braves game while we were in Orlando. Here are a few pictures from the game and stadium.

Eldora

We walked out to a historic building at the seashore.  Arthur found a big palm to drag along the trail.

 Some older man with a Ramcharger jacket on took our picture, though we had just arrived and Arthur wasn't pleased about being held still right then.  We, of course, took the shadow one ourself.

Canaveral NS cont.

Wading.  Arthur wouldn't let us move away from the water.  Whenever we tried he would go limp and just dangle in whatever hand was holding him until we stayed.

Canaveral National Seashore

We spent the afternoon just north of the space center on the beach.  It was chilly, but that didn't stop Arthur from playing in the sand or from  getting himself (and Daddy) soaked.

Arthur was a little grumpy in the middle of the day, but he didn't want  to break the rules on this pier and so had to cheer up.
