When in Rome ...
On our way home from camping a few weekends back, we stopped in Rome, GA. We had brunch, played in a fountain (not Trevi) and went to a Rome Braves game (Single A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves).
Arthur spotted the fountain and insisted that we cool off a bit in the water. Fortunately, fountains were nicely labelled in both English and Cherokee.
We then took in some minor league baseball. The ballpark was surprisingly nice, a far cry from the old Charleston RiverDogs Stadium I remember from my high school days. We bought Arthur a foam tomahawk. One of these days, we will upload his rendition of the tomahawk chop war chant.

Swimming hole cont.
So, the swimming hole was about the coolest thing that daddy and mommy ever took Arthur to. First we had to climb down a super steep hill. Then we got to go into the water. But then daddy and mommy ruined it. They wouldn't let Arthur go into the fast current, they wouldn't let him jump off the waterfall. They only made up for it a little when we all got to climb back up the big rocks on the scary hill.

Swimming hole
We found out where the locals go to swim and checked out the "hippy falls." We don't have a picture of the falls, but here are a few of swimming in the river.

Little River Canyon
Here are a few pictures from a National Preserve just over the border in Alabama. We visited during our camping trip. Arthur slept through most of our car ride around the canyon, though he got up for one viewing point.

Art the Artiste
Here are my favorite pictures from the toddler takeover. This is in their open craft room. Arthur listened to music on a fancy cassette player and giant headphones while creating a masterpiece.

Toddler Takeover
There was a neat festival a couple of weekends ago at one of the big museum/theatre centers in Atlanta. They had plays, music and art all for little kids. Here are a few pictures from it. The first two are Arthur checking out an instrument and listening to a performance by members of the Atlanta Symphony. The last one is at a cars exhibit in the Art Museum.

Renaissance fest cont.
Arthur checked out a bunch of animals at the fest. This is him watching a birds of prey show, a sheep dog demonstration and then visiting with rescue parrots.

GA renaissance festival
We also went to the renaissance festival a few weekends ago. Arthur is sticking through on one of these head-holes. And then he is writing his own mount below.

Gibbs Gardens
We have had a few fun weekends. This means I am behind in the blog, but we have good pictures to come. So maybe a fair trade.
This post is pictures from two weekends ago when we went to a twilight garden tour with some friends.
