More pics from Arthur's first day

After a long night, everybody has finally had a chance to get some food and rest.  Arthur is doing great.  He is sleeping soundly and has a healthy appetite.  Mom is tired and still recovering, but doing much better.

Gorilla Baby (3/21)

This one is from last week. There is definitely an eye there. I think it's a profile shot, but... maybe it's head on? Andrew says he looks like the creature from Alien, but I'm posting, so I get to use my labels.

Phantom Baby (3/29)

He has a clear chubby cheek in this picture and the doctor said his nose was a little scrunched up because it's tight in there. (I didn't see this, his nose just looks like a hole to me.) Also, from another view they said that his lips are fully formed & there is no cleft palate. He is head-down already, which is good news for delivery. He did roll over (from my left to right side) between the two weeks, though. He was practicing breathing a whole bunch this week, getting ready to come out.

He scored 10/10 on this ultrasound. An over-achiever already!

Mardi Gras!

I don't know who books a conference during Mardi Gras in New Orleans, but it was fun! We missed the real crazy time, but got to see a few parades.

Nope, Not Doing Pregnant Pictures

I just saw a post from AwkwardFamilyPhotos that had this picture up.

We are not going to do this.

There is, in fact, a whole creepy gallery of pregnant pictures on that site. This is one reason posts have been far and few between here. We'll pick up once the kid arrives, honest.

It's a Boy

We went in for the anatomy ultrasound today and found out it was a boy.  Everything looks good so far.
