Jarrell Christmas

We are a bit behind on posts.  These are from the beginning of December when we took a trip back to Jarrell Plantation to see what a Christmas would have been like in the 1800s.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Cherokee Christmas

Last weekend we went to New Echota State Park for their evening Christmas celebration.  This is our favorite Christmas event here so far.

Atlanta Children's Museum

We tried out the children's museum downtown.  Arthur really enjoyed it when a few older children came into the exhibits. He enjoyed following them and trying to get their attention.  He is really crawling like a champ now, so he was able to follow them around when not playing with mom and dad.

New Stroller

 Here is Arthur trying out his new jogging stroller at the zoo.  It is great for handling bumps and curves.

Cowpens National Battlefield

We stopped on the way to Thanksgiving at Cowpens National Battlefield.  This was a Revolutionary War site where the Continental Army and South Carolina militia had a victory over the British.

It was a very pretty day and we got another stamp for Arthur's National Park passport.

We went to Charlotte to see Uncle Ben, Aunt Sarah, Aunt Becky and Uncle Gary.  We ate really good and had a great time visiting with family.

Here are a few pictures of Arthur enjoying the weekend.  He had sweet potatoes and turkey for dinner with apple cereal for desert.

Meeting Cousin Owen

Grandma Pat brought cousin Owen to Atlanta to meet Arthur.  We had fun playing games, eating good food and taking pictures.

We got frost last week.  Here is Arthur sporting some of his winter wear.

Six!

Last week we went to the doctor for Arthur's 6 month visit. He is healthy, tall and very skinny.  We are working on getting him more cereal to try to beef him up a little.  He had to get shots.  That was almost as bad as having to lay still on the table.  

The paper did not survive his visit.

Art vs. Duck

This video is a bit old, but we wanted to share Arthur at bathtime.  He still has fun in the water, but now he is sitting up in the tub, so the legs don't go quite as much.

We are in a very busy time before the semester ends, so we have been a little behind on getting things posted.  This week, I'll be putting up some videos we've taken over the past few months.  Some are a bit old, but we don't empty out this camera quite as often.

For today, here are two videos of Art working on crawling.  The first is from Halloween, when he was just first getting up on all fours.  The second is from a week later.  He doesn't have it yet, but he's getting there.

We spent some time in the North Carolina mountains last weekend. We saw very pretty waterfalls and the leaves were in full color.
