Lobster trap

I think this was the part of the whale watching trip that Arthur  liked best.  They pulled up lobster trap for us and showed us the two that were in there.  They had to catch and release, though, because they were too small.

Hike to a lake

We walked all the way to this lake looking for moose.  No luck on the moose.  It wasn't raining or too cold, but we had hoods up b/c there were so many bugs!

Coast shots

It wasn't really swimming weather, but we had a good time touring along the coast.

Hard at work

This was like his wheelbarrow at home, but a little too big to move.

One spoon

At Louisbourg we ate in a restaurant designed to be like where the sailors would have eaten.  We each got a very big napkin and only one spoon for the whole meal.  We were very careful and did not lose them.

Fortress of Louisbourg

This was an old French fort.  It was a little rainy, but still a fun day.  We got to take a bus to the fort and then walked around all kinds of buildings.  We visited the bakery and got some fresh bread.  They did not make cake there.

First time skating

Arthur finally got a chance to try out the new skates we got for him on Father's Day.

He had a lot of fun.

Citadel track

Arthur led a train around the top of the citadel. He thought the side of the walkway looked like tracks.  Some of the cannons were also on tracks.

Halifax Citadel

Arthur especially liked the "little house" in the bottom picture.

Unexpected layover

Our flight out of Atlanta was late, and we missed our connection. We ended up spending a day in Toronto.  We wanted to go up the CN tower, but it was too cloudy. So, we hit the hockey hall of fame.
